10 - New Dawn

Here we start with a call to reawaken and begin life again in a totally new way. There is a gradual stirring, which increases during the awakening process. Once we are fully awake, we are swept away to a triumphant ball, where we celebrate the dying away of the old and the beginning of new phase of existence. The ball ends when the attention is once again brought back to the original theme of purpose as played at the beginning of section 1. This is a distinct and commanding reminder that we are not to get carried away; sure, the old has died away, but there is much, much more still to come. The music concludes deceptively. Genesis ends, not on this note of power, but with a sweet and steady ascent as we follow: humanity into the realms of infinity.
